So there is a new Transformers coming out featuring the... DINOBOTS!!! Coming out on the 26th of June its not that long a wait, I know I CAN'T!!! (but my girlfriend probably can).

But is it going to be a big disappointment (insert comments about Star Wars) and just a money grab or will it service us fans and lovers of the franchise (original and new)

This isn't going to be a fanboy rant about how great Google Glass is (I haven't played with one nor would I at $1,500 USD) but I want to talk about the concepts that Google Glass raises and what it can open up.

First off WHAT THE! Where did this come from. Google is selling off Motorola to LENOVO for approx. $2.9 BILLION. So this means that they will lose around $7 BILLION after they bought Motorola for approx $12 Billion.

Just wanted to apologies for the non-existent posting. I am new to the Blog scene and I have not really paid the most attention to it. I am aiming to try and post at least once a week on Friday so you can have a read on the weekend.

Today's Geek Hangout (Geekout) is going to be about the 'new' game Hearthstone by Blizzard. I LOVE THIS GAME! I recently got invited into the closed BETA. I am a fan of the ccg genre both online and with actual playing cards (Magic player from a while back). I think Hearthstone is one of the better collectible card games (ccg) due to a number of reasons which I will discuss below.

Apart from Hearthstone being free to play (F2P), one of the reasons I found it to be one of the better ccg's is because of the really interesting mechanics that the game employs and that it's so easy to learn how to play.

Welcome to the Hangout

On the first day of 2014 I would like to Introduce the Geek's Hangout, a place where I will be letting loose with my thoughts on all sorts of things. Recently thanks to +Wil Wheaton I discovered that being a "Geek" isn't limited to Sci-Fi or Technology and he proved that being a "Geek" was just loving anything so much that you want to talk about it and discuss it with others. Some of the things that I love to talk about (and do) are Gaming, Technology (I work in IT) and some Sci-Fi (mainly reading novels, but love the lore). I want to try and show my point of view on a particular topic be it a new product or idea that has come out in one of the areas, or even a review (of sorts) using some other sources that I love to use. I want to also bring a place where you can read about something and then go to the sources that allowed me to come to that conclusion (so I will provide links to any external sources that I use or base a post on). Please feel free to jump in and let me know of any topics that you want me to cover or by expressing your views on the topic.

This is my first blog and something I have been wanting to do for a while. A place where I can provide my thoughts and feelings on products and interact with people and have discussions based on the topic of the week.
